Knog Frog Bike Light Set: the current position

Knog's current Frog set is designed as a compact, easy-to-mount lighting pair. Its product page is the authority for lumens, modes, runtime, water resistance and charging method.

Small lights are convenient for being seen and as backups. Whether they are sufficient as primary lights depends on darkness, road speed, environment and UK lighting requirements.

  • Compact flexible mounting
  • Multiple light modes
  • Current runtime and charging specification

What has changed

The current Frog should not inherit the output or battery details of the older Strobe set. LED efficiency, charging and mode control have changed substantially.

The convenience argument remains: lights only help when they are fitted, charged and aimed correctly.

03

How it works and who it suits

Use compact lights for lit streets, daytime conspicuity or backup, following the maker's output guidance. Choose a stronger controlled beam for unlit roads.

Angle the front light away from other road users' eyes, keep both lenses clean and carry enough charge for delay or diversion.

Checks before buying

Colours, materials, fittings and included accessories can change during a product's sales life. Check the exact current listing and retain the maker's instructions.

  • Check the maker's current dimensions and compatibility information
  • Compare the exact current product rather than an old review score or price
  • Confirm warranty, spares and returns before ordering
  • Inspect safety-critical fittings regularly once the product is in use
05

Care, use and replacement

Follow the current maker's instructions for cleaning, adjustment and storage. Dirt, ultraviolet light, sweat and repeated wet use can shorten the life of fabrics, coatings and fittings.

Stop using equipment when a structural attachment, lock, light mount or load-bearing part is damaged. Replacement parts must match the exact generation rather than merely sharing a product-family name.
